Fraser Island, Mooloolaba Beach, Brisbane

sunny 28 °C

So we have arrived finally back in Sydney and tomorrow we are flying to New Zealand! We've been up to plenty of things since I last wrote.

After exploring Brizzie for a few days, we decided to take a trip to the well-known, popular and highly recommended Fraser Island.
We went on a 2 day, 1 night trip which involved us getting up at 5.30am (eek!) but it was sooo worth it! It was so beautiful; i have never seen lakes, rainforests and beaches like the ones there - such white sand and blue blue sea! (I have a feeling I've been saying that about a lot of the beaches I've been to but this island tops them all and i have the photos to prove it.... they'll be coming soon!) We went with a small tour group which was great because we got to know the people we were with really well and they were all really nice. We saw this huge shipwreck, which was absolutely awesome...large iguana like lizard things crawling around... big big jelly fish... we walked in a freshwater creek with eels and saw HUGE spiders (very scary!) and generally had a great time! It was a shame to leave so soon but we arrived back in Brisbane for a night out with Lizzie's friend, Megan and a day trip to Mooloolaba Beach- all very enjoyable!
